General conditions to rent a car in Zakynthos with Hire Auto 4Terms & Conditions   Driver Qualification Reservations from "Hire Auto":  • Be over than 23* years of age for the groups A, B, F.  • Have a valid Greek, European (for EEC countries) or International (for countries that don't belong to EEC)    driving  license held for at least one year.  • Have an identity card for Greek citizens and passport for non Greek citizens.  • Have a personal credit card. If renting a vehicle except one of the above mentioned groups, drivers must be over 26 years old and must have a valid license for 3 or more years.   • PRE-BOOKINGS: Cars pre-booked by clients will be issued with a reservation voucher and a 30% deposit     taken on the total amount owing on the car. Vehicle collection  • When collecting the vehicle all drivers need to bring:    1. A full driving license for all named drivers, with details of all endorsements.    2. A credit card. The credit card must be in the same name of the renter; third party credit cards are not       accepted. Payment to be made in full by the client on delivery of the car.    3. A copy of the confirmed reservation.  • The rental price includes unlimited kilometres, Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Theft Protection (TP) and VAT.    All stations will ask the driver if they required additional insurance. (See "Insurance" paragraph)  • The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of gasoline that it had when it was given to the client. In a    case that it is less, an adequate charge will be made.  • When collecting the vehicle, the driver will be given a Rental Agreement to check and sign. This will show any    additional services and damage protection with the relevant charges.  • It is very important for the driver to check the vehicle for any damage to help assess any damage that occurs    during the rental. They will be asked to sign a Pre Rental Inspection document at the start of the rental. Start – End of rental. The delivery time is defined after communication with the station of “Hire Auto’”. The car rental period, in spite of the agreed time, start at 09:00 of the delivery date and ends at 08:00 of the collection date. Insurance Insurance: All "Hire Auto" vehicles are insured:  a) Against liability to third parties (excluding driver and passengers) for death, injury up to € 500.000,00  b) material damages to third parties (excluding the "Hire Auto" vehicle) up to € 100.000,00  c) for fire for the "Hire Auto" vehicle Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W.): The driver is protected for any damage of the vehicle with his responsibility. The driver is responsible for the deductible amount of € 350,00 for car groups A, B, F, for the deductible amount of € 500,00 for car groups C, G, J, H, S provided that traffic laws were not contravened. The driver may waive the above deductible amount reliability of € 350,00 or € 500,00 by paying € 6,00 per day for the groups A, B, F or € 10,00 for the groups C, G, J, H, S per day (F.D.W.) None of the insurances cover damages to tires, mirrors, windscreen, the underneath of the vehicle as long as none of the damages or losses will be caused at the interior of the car and also at the hoods of open cars. Theft Protection (T.P.): Total value of the "Hire Auto» vehicle against theft. Personal Accident Insurance (P.A.I): This insurance, optionally available for only € 3, 00 per day, covers the renter and each passenger of the "Hire Auto» rented vehicle with the following amounts respectively:  • Driver:   - Death, total or partial disability: € 17.610,00   - Medical Expenses: € 881, 00  • Each passenger:   - Death, total or partial disability: € 8.805,00   - Medical Expenses: € 881, 00  • Maximum amount covered per accident € 44.020,00  • The above terms are valid on condition that the damage was not caused due to violation of traffic    regulations such as being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Extra Charges Minimum rental: One day. Every hour over 25 hours is calculated in excess of one daily rate. Road assistance: 24-Hour road assistance (free) Taxes: All rates are subject to 18% VAT (Vat is included in the price of the car rentals). Collection / Delivery:  - Free to all "Hire Auto" stations  - Free from / To hotels in town  - Free from / To suburban (Planos – Laganas – Kalamaki – Argasi – Keri – Alykes – Vasilicos) hotels  - Night / After hours (21:30 - 08:00) € 16,00 "Rent-It-Here/Leave-It-There" Service  Requires an advanced written authorization from "Hire Auto" and is applicable between (Zakynthos – Planos –  Laganas – Kalamaki – Argasi – Keri – Alykes – Vasilicos). To all other destinations the charges are:  - € 0, 80 per Km for all car groups (Minimum charge € 15, 00) Additional Driver: Extra charge for additional driver: € 2 per day. Equipment: Baby / child seat and snow chains on request with daily charge of € 2. Traffic fines: All traffic fines resulting from violation of the Greek traffic law are for renter's account. Ferrying the car An advanced written authorization from "Hire Auto" is required. Rental outside of Zakynthos Island. The drivers need the written permission of “Hire Auto” if they desire to drive a “Hire Auto” car outside Zakynthos Island. The charge of this rental will be 0, 15€ per kilometre. Extension of Rental Period. If you wish to keep the vehicle longer than the contracted period, you have to communicate with Hire Auto’s station (where you picked your car from) at least two (2) days prior the normal end of the rental period for the extension to be marked at your contract of the car rental (as long as there is availability).
